FAQ

No!  The accelerator is platform agnostic and we will consider teams developing on any platform.

Yes.  We will prioritize blockchain native companies for the NETWORK program and are also open to companies that want to develop a blockchain network in the context of their existing business.

IBM will not take equity in the participating companies as a standard term.  However, IBM may choose to invest directly at the current company valuation and/or request upside participation in networks that we collaborate on after the NETWORK accelerator program end. This does not apply to the LAUNCH program.

No, IBM and Columbia do not retain IP developed during the program.

The NETWORK program will benefit later stage who are past their Series A stage (or equivalent customer traction) and focused on rapid growth.  From a funding perspective, there is no limitation but companies will most likely have raised significant capital in equity or token offerings.  The LAUNCH program will support newly formed teams up to seed funded startups.

The NETWORK accelerator will have 3 in-person modules for ~1 week at a time in either New York City or San Francisco, with the expectation to be in residence for approximately 9 required and 5 optional days over an 8-week period.  Additional work will be done virtually. The LAUNCH program will be held in NYC, through weekly in-class sessions along with additional events conducted throughout the city.
