NETWORK is the world’s only accelerator focused on helping high-growth startups establish and grow enterprise blockchain networks.  With a mixture of customized, hands-on programming, this program is custom built for high-growth later stage companies that want to build category defining blockchain networks.  Following the accelerator, IBM may enter into strategic partnerships with accelerator companies to establish and/or scale the network concepts developed in the program.

Nominations

The IBM Blockchain Accelerator is an invite-only program for the best growth stage blockchain companies from around the world. We request a nomination from someone in your network who knows you and your company well. This will likely be an advisor, mentor, investor, customer or IBM employee. You may self-nominate but please explain why you have chosen to do so.

Application & Due Diligence

After reviewing nominations, we will send out the application form to a short list of companies requesting a standard packet of information.

Interviews

We will conduct interviews with each team, preferably in person but otherwise via videoconference.

Final confirmation of 10 companies who will be participating in the program.

Module 1: Product

January 22nd – 25th : New York City

Module 1 will focus on the product and is located in New York City. This includes a deep dive into different blockchain technologies, customized architecture workshops with technical experts and business value design. We will match with you with a team of mentors, technical advisors and student resources to work with throughout the program. There will also be a customer pitch event, with curated 1:1 meetings, to 50+ corporate executives.

*Required content will take place over 3 days from Tuesday, January 22nd – Thursday, January 24th. Friday, January 25th is optional, and will include space and resources to set up follow up meetings with mentors and corporate partners*

Module 2: Tokens & Investment

February 11th – 15th : San Francisco

Module 2 will focus on tokens and investment and is located in San Francisco. This includes complex token economics, customized branding and pitch workshops and investment market intelligence. Companies will have an opportunity to speak and demo their product at IBM’s annual THINK Conference. There will also be an investor pitch event, with curated 1:1 meetings, to venture capitalists and crypto funds.

*Required content will take place over 3 days from Monday, February 11th – Wednesday, February 13th. Thursday, February 14th and Friday, February 15th are optional, and will include space and resources to set up follow up meetings with mentors, investors and corporate partners, as well as a full pass to attend IBM’s THINK conference*

March 4th – 8th : New York City

Module 3: Legal & Governance

Module 3 will focus on key legal issues for blockchain companies, as well as network governance best practices. This includes jurisdiction selection, security vs utility token issues and hands-on workshops to customize your company’s network governance process. It will include a formal Demo Day to present your business network pitch to 500+ corporate executives, investors and media.

*Required content will take place over 3 days from Monday, March 4th – Wednesday, Wednesday, March 6th. Thursday, March 7th and Friday, March 8th are optional, and will include space and resources to set up follow up meetings with mentors, media, investors and corporate partners*
